Call for Abstracts: 

The American Association of Professional Apiculturists (AAPA) will conduct the 2016 American Bee Research Conference (ABRC) at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort & Spa in Ponte Verde Beach, FL on January 8-9, 2016.

All apiculture specialists and apiculture students are invited to attend and present papers at this conference.  Our meeting will be held together with the annual meeting of the Apiary Inspectors of America (AIA) and in conjunction with the 2016 American Beekeeping Federation Conference and Trade Show.

Pre-Registration fee is $100.00 and can be paid online via PayPal (below) or in person. On-site registration will be $125.00.

Those registered for ABRC 2016 who would like to attend the AIA meeting and ABF Conference can do so at no additional cost.

Presentations and abstracts are restricted to research involving the genus Apis. Send titles, author list, and institutional addresses for presentations by email to Elina Niño (elnino@ucdavis.edu).

Abstract deadine: No later than November 1, 2015. This is a strict deadline and earlier than usual because we will be including the ABRC agenda in the ABF program.

Presentation specifics:

Talks will be 15-20 minutes long, depending on total number submitted.
Presenters will be notified of talk length soon after the January 9th deadline.

Please encourage students to present, as there is a student competition and this is a friendly group of researchers who will have great questions and provide constructive comments.

Note: You need to be an AAPA member in good standing in order to present at the ABRC. Please see below or go to the membership page to join/renew ($15/yr).

Students note: If you want to participate in the student oral and poster competitions, please let us know in the abstract submission email so that we can put you in the correct session.
